What they didn't tell you.....

What no one ever told you when you were thinking about having kids is whatever your kids are doing - that's what you will be doing too - at least while they're young... (I guess this will soon pass too and I will be wishing they were back to this age). My younger DD has learned to read and is doing a great job and wants to practice ALL the time... with me sitting beside her..... I LOVE that she wants to practice and is excited about reading but I REALLY can't take many more Dora books!! (Hi, I am Dora. This is Boots. Boots is a monkey.....) Then my older DD comes home and I get to sit with her for 2 hrs or more prodding her through her homework while all she wants to do is tell me endless stories about all her friends, and what they said, and did, and might do if their mom lets them .... and I REALLY love to hear her tell about her day but could we just PLEASE get this homework done so I can - oh I don't know - cook dinner???????
But without them I would be lost, and so I vent on my blog and know that tomorrow will be the same and I wouldn't have it any other way :o)

I did get the chance to stamp this morning and was pretty happy with what I came up with.

They are for my technique class next week - the elephant on is "Faux buttons and Buckles" - I have been wanting this "Wild about you" set since the first time I laid eyes on it and I only finally got it a week or so ago and this is the first time I have stamped with it. The other is "Making scalloped borders" and I used the SAB scrapping kit and co-ordinating stamp set. I really like the paper.
