Stamping again

(Look look - 2 days in a row of blogging!)

On Wednesday one of my school library volunteer ladies tragically lost her husband during an operation on his heart. I was absolutely speechless when I found out! So I made a card to send along with the flowers we are sending on behalf of the library staff.

Sympathy cards are the ones you just hate to have to make and so I never seem to have them on hand. I guess I should make a few more so I have them when I need them.

On a brighter note my bogging friend and fellow Stamping Diva Sherri tagged me with this award

Sherri always makes beautiful cards and I am so happy to be the proud recipient of some of them. So go check out her work.

And now I get to nominate some people.

1. Melissa (I know - big surprise there...) but you know she is always just there for me and her scrapping work is awesome. You can check out a lot of her work on her blog and also on tallyscrapper
2. Cathy - she doesn't know I exist but I stalk her blog regularly because she is just SO funny! Oh and she does great scrapping work too.
3. Jana - another Stampin Diva whom I am sure you all already know and love for her stamping work
4. Kathy - who not only makes great cards but regularly features eye candy that is always yummy!
5. And last but not least Amy is another person that has no knowledge of my existence but she is a daily read of mine. Her blog features a little bit of everything - sewing, crafting, cooking and life with kids in general. I joined a swap based on her book which I am really looking forward to!

Okay so here's the tag rules

If you already have this award don’t worry about passing it on, just display it proudly:)
1) Write a post with links to 5 blogs you find of interest and that inspire you.
2) Acknowledge the post of the award giver.
3) Display the logo “You Make My Day”
4) Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.

1. Leave a comment here on my blog requesting to join in the pay it forward exchange.
2. The first three people to leave a comment agreeing to join in will recieve a handmade gift from me with in 365 days.
3. You pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.

You have a whole year to do it (which I personally am very thankful for) and it can be anything at all - how fun is that?? So come on and join in and

Pay it forward!

Yvette needs....

I saw this on Jana's blog (who saw it on Nancy's, who saw it on Jennifer's.......) so I thought I would give it a try too. It's fun - try it for yourself - go to google and type in "(your name) needs" and see what you get. Here are some of my favorites.....

Yvette needs
1) to think (yes! and if you could all be quiet for just a moment I could!)
2) attention (don't we all?)
3) to correct this problem before it bites her in the ass (again) (ouch!)
4) to pull you into line mate! (obviously one of my Aussie friends...)
5) to stop being so damn stubborn (okay I DON'T know what you are talking about!)
6) a wonky eye and she'd make a great dungeon master (huh??)
7) an Oscar (FINALLY someone is paying attention!)
8) to pee (... okay how did they know that?? scary!)
9) your help (sure - thanks!)
10) a miracle (I didn't think things were that bad....)
11) to improve her German (Jana can you help me with this one?)
12) a holiday (Amen to that!)

Have a great day!

A fun new site to try...

My DH showed me this site last night and I have been addicted ever since so I thought I'd share. It's called Pandora and you build your own radio station - it's the coolest thing! You tell it what kinds of bands and/or songs you like and it figures out your "genre" and starts playing ones it thinks match. You can give each song a thumbs up or thumbs down and it keeps adjusting until you have a totally personalized radio station full of songs you love :o) Enjoy!
