Scrapping challenges

Tallyscrapper has some scrapping challenges posted that I thought I would do to help me get some more pages done. The first one was a sketch challenge - I followed the sketch pretty much exactly.

It looks like I did alot but really it's the patterned paper that does most of the work :o)

The next one was a "recipe" challenge - ie they give you the "ingredients" to use on your page - in this case it was 1 photo, 2 designer papers, some flowers and letters and ribbon if necessary.

You (those of you who know me) will be amazed at how little ribbon I used!
You might think that I only scrap my younger daughter - well that's not true but she is always ready for the camera and ready to turn and give me a smile where as my older DD is too cool for that so most of the shots I have of her are not these big grins.
I do have a confession - I don't really like these 1 or 2 photo layouts. Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed doing them and I like the way they turned out but I want to scrap ALL (well most) of the thousands of photos I have taken and I am not a big journaler - I would rather let the photos do the talking. So even though I did these, both of them will become 2 pages layouts and the other page will have all the other photos from the event on them. .... at least that's my current opinion :o)
