Do you UHU??

I have been trying out my free sample of UHU glue roller lately.

How did I get a free sample I hear you asking? It's easy! Simply hop over to Maria's blog and ask her for one - don't you wish everything was that simple?? Well my sample came pretty fast and I opened that baby right away. Here are my thoughts.....

The first thing I noticed is that there's more on the roll than the adhesive I currently use - 16m (52.5ft for you non metric people) compared to that other brand's 12 m (39.3 ft) and I could tell - I made one of all the stamp camp projects plus the scrapbook for my younger DD's class and there is still plenty to go. Here's the completed scrapbook front - wish I could show you how cute all the pages turned out but since 99% of them are not of my children I can't... but trust me when I tell you it's SO cute! Even my DH commented that it was well done and he rarely gives me kudos for anything - usually it's "that's nice dear"...

Okay more on UHU - it rolls SO easily - you have to apply almost no pressure at all - it just glides along. I did seem to have to encourage it a bit more to stick when it came to the backs of my photos which I had printed at home and had a rough surface on the back, but on cardstock it went on smooth and easy.

It is made up of little dots rather than a continuous piece and that makes a difference in 2 ways 1) you don't have to do that "check" movement with your wrist to make sure you get a clean break at the edge of the paper and (2) you get hardly any of those glue boogers - you know at the edges of the applicator where you get that build up of little round bits of glue that you have to pick off every so often ... glue boogers....... I know you know what I'm talking about so don't EVEN give me that!

Umm.... I think that's all - over all I would not hesitate to buy it again - the big thing of course for me is always the $$$ since I go through these things like water - but I liked it and it is priced about the same as all the other brands. So go ahead - give it a try yourself and tell me what you think - hey it's free - what do you have to lose????

Thanks for this review! I'm going to have to try a sample of that myself... I for one hate those boogers (and yep, I've been calling them that forever, so I know what you mean!)!

Thanks!
